First off… thank you all so much for your feedback on Friday’s video tutorial! I am extremely humbled by the responses and have taken what you’ve said to heart, so you can definitely expect to see more where that came from. It’s a very exciting time for me right now with many major life changes, and it’s great to have something new to focus on. I think you’ll enjoy what I have in store over the next couple months 😉
Alright, onto the vlog! Last week was crazy busy with the shiplap install, managing three of my contractors and planning/filming/editing my first video tutorial. I spent the weekend recovering in San Francisco before heading back home Monday for more ’round the clock work on the house. Highlights of the past week condensed into three minutes…
Thankfully, everything is still on schedule but these next few days will require a strong dose of caffeine to pull it all off. There’s little room for error, and I’m actually enjoying the chaos. It’s better than being alone with nothing to do all day in this big house by myself!
If you want to join me in the action, follow my frequent & live updates on snapchat @ jennasuedesign, or my slightly less frequent posts on instagram & facebook. Your support and interaction honestly helps motivate me to keep this one-woman train running!
If you’re not on social, here’s the latest on the bathroom progress: the tile has been grouted (it looks heavenly, by the way), the barn door has been installed (here’s my pre-installation instagram shot from Tuesday morning…)
Today I’m gathering materials & building a desk and bench for downstairs. Thursday’s plan is to seal the grout, install the toilet and vanity along with the sink, wall faucet & shower faucet, hang the mirror and possibly some shelves if there’s time. On Friday I hope to be back here with a full breakdown of the tile sources and tiling process. Next week I’ll post plans for the barn doors and more updates. Almost to the finish line!
