And it’s finally March! I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond ready for longer days and warmer temperatures. Orchards of blossoming trees have been putting on a show here in California’s Central Valley and foothills, ushering in Spring’s early arrival. The sunshine summons us to the outdoors, and I’ve happily obliged, never taking for granted the beauty that lies just beyond my backyard.
Last weekend we took an impromptu girls’ trip to Yosemite to see the “Firefall”—a phenomenon that occurs during the last two weeks of February each year if the weather and rainfall conditions are just right. The sun sets at a specific angle that makes Horsetail Falls appear as a flowing stream of fire down the face of El Capitan. Lucky for us, the clouds disappeared just in time for us to capture several minutes of nature’s rare and spectacular light show (watch the vlog for a timelapse!)
After completing the new entryway last week, I took the weekend off from house projects to visit with old friends, host a black light party and spend some time outdoors. My latest weekly vlog captures some of the most memorable moments (along with a quick video tour of the new entryway!) and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. There will be a lot more videos in the future, so don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel while you’re there:
Tiling has begun on the master bathroom and I’ve been snapchatting every step of the way! Make sure to follow along @ jennasuedesign if you’re active there, or catch me on instagram and Facebook. I’ll be back with a more detailed post on that soon. Enjoy the rest of your week!
